Writer and Comedian

Jessica Kane's writing career began at the ripe old age of 9 when she decided to pen a screenplay for Ghostbusters 3. She finished the script at 13, and since then has honed her skills at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (where she earned a B.A. in Dramatic Writing as a Television Concentrate) and as a Maude sketch writer at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Jessica has a passion for all things TV and channels her enthusiasm by crafting darkly comedic pilots with supernatural elements, biting dialogue, and off-beat characters. Her writing has earned several accolades, including 8s on The Black List, being chosen as quarterfinalist in the 2023 Academy Nicholl Fellowship, runner-up in the 2020 Script Pipeline First Look Project, and winning the grand prize in the 2019 Scriptation Showcase.She's felt uncomfortable referring to herself in the third person throughout this bio and still hopes to one day convince a single friend to read her Ghostbusters 3 script.
