About Jessica
Jessica Kane's writing career began at the ripe old age of 9 when she decided to pen a screenplay for Ghostbusters 3. She finished the script at 13, and since then has honed her skills at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (where she earned a B.A. in Dramatic Writing as a Television Concentrate) and as a Maude sketch writer at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Jessica has a passion for all things TV and channels her enthusiasm by crafting darkly comedic pilots with supernatural elements, biting dialogue, and off-beat characters. Her writing has earned her a place in the 2025 Athena Film Festival Writers Lab, 8s on The Black List, and a quarterfinalist placement in the 2023 Academy Nicholl Fellowship. She is currently developing her 1/2-hour horror comedy pilot, The Bestorcist, with Kent Alterman and Sarah Babineau at Good Walk Entertainment.
